Compliance/HIPAA Committee

The Stratum Compliance/HIPAA Committee is composed of management personnel from each Shareholder involved in Corporate Compliance, Fraud and Abuse, HIPAA and regulatory activities.

The Committee has successfully leveraged and negotiated arrangements and gained significant cost savings. Current projects encompass:

Beacon Partners - Stratum engaged Beacon Partners to provide HIPAA education and assessments for the Stratum shareholders. The use of a single consultant provided cost savings and developed a unified approach to HIPAA regulations.

Phoenix Health System Security Policies - Stratum secured special pricing on Phoenix Security Policies that provided a 50% savings to shareholders.

MC Strategies e-Learning Software - The Compliance/HIPAA Committee extensively evaluated e-learning products. MC Strategies was selected as the preferred vendor for the provision of e-learning capabilities. The shared initiative resulted in 30% to 39% discounts for Shareholders, on MC Strategies' e-learning software.

Additional Initiatives - Other initiatives undertaken by the workgroup have been:

• Review of Ingenix Compliance Manager
• Professional speaker presentations specifically focused on Shareholder needs

Meetings-The Committee meets on a regular monthly basis through a teleconference forum to discuss a variety of topics and to exchange information. Recent topics include:

• Electronic Medical Records
• Compliance Policies, Job Descriptions and Processes
• e-Learning Software

Stratum Med Compliance/HIPAA Web Site - The Stratum Med Compliance web site provides Shareholders a resource library for:

• Policies and Procedures
• Assessment Tools
• Benchmarking Surveys
